Diving Certification vacation-holiday..
Please note since the Fall of 2006, PADI has now required that each new Open Water student
purchase their own PADI Manual. If you purchase your book out side of the US, please make sure it contants the "hologram" which is required for your PADI Open Water ID card upon
completion of the course. You can purchase the PADI Open Water Manual from Padi IF you purchase your book in the US, please make sure your
bring a photo copy and original of the bill of sale or invoice.
All packages include:
The casual relaxed setting of the Cozumel bed and breakfast, Amigo's B&B, allows you to study at your own pace. The communal palapa area has a TV-VCR-DVD set up, ideal for viewing the PADI learning video series, an excellent adjunct to your book information and class room lessons.
The multilevel pool at Amigo's offers an area to practice your newly acquired diving skills if you like.

Your PADI certification course will consist of
- Confined Water Diving
- Classroom instruction
- Open Water Diving
The Confined water diving will consist of a minimum of 4 shallow dives to max. depths of 15 feet with no time limit It is during these dives that you will learn and practice the skills needed to become a certified scuba diver.
The Open water diving will consist of four different diving experiences, two with entry from the shore, and two with entry from the boat using the "roll over" technique that you will learn about. These dives will be to depths of 30-60 feet for a length of time pending your air consumption. This is when you will learn the beauty of diving. You will be introduced to the underwater world Cozumel is so famous for.. Your love of the sport will start to bloom during these dives.
The equipment provided will include a mask, fins, snorkel, BCD( buoyancy control device), tanks, weights, weight belt and regulator. Video, DVD charts, and graphs are also provided on a loan bases.

Prices are in US dollars. The "price per package" rate is based on double occupancy and two certifying divers. Please email for prices for one certifying diver or non diver rates.
Here is a sample of your Cozumel Scuba Diving Certification Vacation
Day 1: Arrival and check in at the Cozumel bed and breakfast, Amigo's B&B.Meet staff, receive your welcome orientation, certification materials and course videos. Read and prepare for Lesson 1& 2.
Day 2: Lesson 1, perhaps 2. Confined water dives 1 & 2. This evening read and prepare for lessons 3,4,&5.
Day 3: Lesson 2,3,4,5. Confined water dives 3 & 4. Review videos and other materials as needed.
Day 4: Open water dives 1 & 2 from a Shore Entry. Enjoy the diving and practice the newly learned skills. Review for final written exam.
Day 5: Open water dives 3 & 4 from The Tormenta Boat. Final exam this evening or tomorrow.
