Meet the Cats at Amigo's B&B Cozumel!! At Amigo's B&B Cozumel you will have the pleasure of meeting our
pets. We have two cats that have been part of our family for a long time.
Missy was born here on the island of Cozumel on January 19, 1996, the
product of two lazy house cats. She is a mixed colored of gray, white,
rust and black striped Tiger cat who loves to be petted and give lots of
attention to. She eats only dry cat food, hard to believe as she currently
weights just over 8 Kilos..(17.6 LBS! Makes Garfield look small!) She is
very loving cat.
Dottie was born also on the island on August 24,1998 and was acquired
by the Kopelman´s as a prize at a child's birthday party. Tatiana had won
the prize and it was cute little Dottie.. Dottie was the runt of her
litter. Born to two wild street cats, she still takes a few moments to
warm up to folks.. Give her a couple of days and she too will enjoy
spending time with you. Don't let her small size fool you, she is a fully
grown healthy 10 year old cat who enjoys chasing the birds and trying to
play with Missy.
Scattered around the enormous garden here at Amigo's you will find land
turtles. We recently had 12 eggs hatch here on the growns,to attest to the
Mayan Fertility goddess, Ixchel´s power. Since Hurricane Wilma we have not had as many turtles as prior to the hurricane. Also we have local reptiles that bake in the warm sun. Green iguanas
line the far wall in the heat of the day
